NBC’s US Open ratings best for East Coast event since 2013 at Merion

The compelling weekend of the US Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., Last week brought in the TV viewers – despite internet complaints of the shared broadcast among NBC, USA and Peacock and the quality of the broadcasts.

An average of more than 5.4 million watched Matthew Fitzpatrick out-duel Will Zalatoris and Scottie Scheffler on the back nine of the final round, the most for an East Coast US Open since 2013 at Merion and an increase of 65 percent from the 2020 Open at Winged Foot.
